Laniakea (lah•nee•ah•keh•ah) is the Hawaiian word for immeasurable heavens, and is the name of the galaxy supercluster that is home to the Milky Way and approximately 100,000 other nearby galaxies.
Laniakea II was collaboratively composed by Corrina Bonshek & Michael Askill. It combines Askill’s centred & sensitive improvisations within a structural frame and soundscape devised by Bonshek that is skillfully spatialised and treated with live effects by Anna Whitaker.
