We are Corrina Bonshek & Collaborators Limited
From the stars above to our waterways to our diverse ecosystems, our vision is to bring artists and audiences from all cultural backgrounds together to reflect on our shared connection to the spectacular, biodiverse ecosystems that surround us.
Corrina Bonshek & Collaborators is a newly formed not-for-profit company led by award-winning composer and artistic director Corrina Bonshek whose passions are intercultural dialogue and making music-led works that provoke wonder, joy at the beauty of nature.
We are managed by experienced producer Greta Kelly (Mzaza, DeepBlue, Take me to Paris) and Corrina Bonshek, who have been producing together since 2016 beginning with the highly successful Song to the Earth. Song to the Earth was incubated during the City of Gold Coast’s inaugural Generate program in the lead-up to the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and produced by Bleach* Festival. Its performance seasons include, in its original and adapted versions: Bleach* Festival 2017 & 2018, 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Arts & Culture Festival, Flowstate Southbank 2018, Rainforest Fringe Festival Sarawak Malaysia 2019, Phoenix Central Park Sydney 2019, Hervey Bay Whale Festival 2021, Kingston Butter Factory 2022, Boom Percussion Festival 2022, and more to be announced.
Our Board of Directors has strong experience across corporate governance, administration, and finance. Peter Griffiths has worked as a CPA accountant at manager and director levels in various industries, including government, education, health, and merchant banking. Peter was also an accredited business improvement facilitator & coach. Greta Kelly brings corporate governance, artists’ contract management, and financial skills from her roles in establishing DeepBlue Orchestra Incorporated Association, where she is secretary of the management board, and Human Symphony, where she is executive producer. Corrina Bonshek has administered multiple grants and worked for 9-years in a university.
Corrina Bonshek & Collaborators Limited is a registered charity and public not-for-profit company and was awarded triennial funding from City of Gold Coast in 2021.
Collaboration & Intercultural Exchange
We live in a culturally diverse community. We want to see culturally diverse art and audiences firmly part of mainstream arts & cultural life
In 2022-24, we will contribute to that vision through workshops, mentorship, creative development, and touring of new music-led works. This will include collaborations with Sunny Kim (Melbourne), Gambirra Illume (NSW), WHAIA and Samira El Koussa. Corrina Bonshek & Collaborators Limited is supported by City of Gold Coast via their Triennial program.
