About

We are Corrina Bonshek & Collaborators Limited

From the stars above to our waterways to our diverse ecosystems, our vision is to bring artists and audiences from all cultural backgrounds together to reflect on our shared connection to the spectacular, biodiverse ecosystems that surround us.

Corrina Bonshek & Collaborators is a newly formed not-for-profit company led by composer and artistic director Corrina Bonshek whose passions are intercultural dialogue and making music-led works that provoke wonder, joy at the beauty of nature.

Our company is managed by the long-standing collaborative team of Greta Kelly (Mzaza, DeepBlue, Take me to Paris) and Bonshek, who have been working together since 2016 beginning with the highly successful Song to the Earth. Song to the Earth was incubated during the City of Gold Coast’s inaugural Generate program in the lead-up to the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and produced by Bleach* Festival. Its performance seasons include, in its original and adapted versions: Bleach* Festival 2017 & 2018, 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Arts & Culture Festival, Flowstate Southbank 2018, Rainforest Fringe Festival Sarawak Malaysia 2019, Phoenix Central Park Sydney 2019, Hervey Bay Whale Festival 2021, Kingston Butter Factory 2022, Boom Percussion Festival 2022, and more to be announced.

Collaboration & Intercultural Exchange

We live in a culturally diverse community. We want to see culturally diverse art and audiences firmly part of mainstream arts & cultural life

In 2022-24, we will contribute to that vision through workshops, mentorship, creative development, and touring of new music-led works. This will include collaborations with Sunny Kim (Melbourne), Gambirra Illume (NSW), WHAIA and Samira El Koussa. Corrina Bonshek & Collaborators Limited is supported by City of Gold Coast via their Triennial program.
